Carrick is a small village on the Liffey River west of Launceston. Its early buildings, bridge approaches and rural setting survive beside a road corridor carrying local and regional traffic.

The Liffey River influenced the crossing, mill activity and settlement pattern. Public views are available from roads and reserves, but riverbanks and adjoining paddocks are often private.
Historic fabric
Former inns, houses, churches and farm buildings reflect Carrick’s service role. Age alone does not make a property open to visitors.
A short stop
Carrick has limited visitor services and event traffic can substantially change access. Use legal parking and avoid stopping on narrow road shoulders.
The village fits naturally between Launceston, Hadspen and the wider Meander Valley. Allow about an hour unless attending a scheduled public event.
