Rights metadata travels with the image
Every third-party image must record its creator, source URL, licence, attribution, caption, alt text, dimensions and usage permission. Owned images are marked as Our Tasmania assets.
Automated image discovery is limited to clearly permitted press images, Wikimedia Commons, public-domain sources and the existing licensed library. Unclear rights require review. We do not use random search-engine images or create fake photographs of real news events.
Credits appear with relevant public images and remain available in the media library.
