Identify the page and the statement that needs review. Include an authoritative source where possible. The editorial record keeps the previous revision while the current page is checked.
What readers see
Minor presentation fixes may only change the modified time. Material factual corrections can include a correction note, the date of the change and the reason. Events and operational notices can be marked cancelled, postponed or updated rather than silently overwritten.
Automation cannot overwrite an article that an editor has manually locked.
